“I will be the diligent voice of reason balancing growth and safety,” Morada said.
“With 17 years in the commercial sector, I know overspending hurts business. I support Dublin’s balanced budget and will ensure fiduciary oversight.”
He also plans to make the residents’ well-being a priority, working with the police and fire departments to enhance pedestrian safety and advocate for improved, well-lit bike lanes.
ADVERTISEMENTMorada grew up in Maryland where his mother worked at the Philippine Embassy while his father was an executive in a nonprofit heritage foundation.
He started his career in technology as a consultant guiding Fortune 5000 companies on tech strategy and execution, and later designed systems and processes.
He is currently an arm chair investor with Bay Angels, where he also serves as an operating partner.
ADVERTISEMENTMorada said about 53 percent of Dublin’s population are of Asian descent. “They now call (Dublin) home after leaving their country of heritage. They are building their American dream,” he said. “And it’s important to have elected officials who’ve gone through a similar journey because we have empathy.”
“My programs will support fair labor practices and local labor hiring. Specifically for the Filipino community, I want to partner with local organizations to bring festivals to Dublin,” he added.
“There is plenty of green space in Dublin to host these festivities. So let’s find ways to bring our Filipino East Bay diaspora together to celebrate.”
Morada is endorsed by Friends of the Filipino American Community and the Asian Pacific American Democratic Caucus
